 2023: Udom Emmanuel anoints pastor as successor; Governor Udom Emmanuel has finally ended months of speculations and permutations with the presentation of one of his cabinet members to succeed him as Governor in 2023. At a well-attended PDP Stakeholders’ Meeting, which took place on Sunday evening at the Governor’s Lodge in Uyo, the state capital, Governor Emmanuel, after months of seeking the face of God, finally announced his Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno, as his preferred choice to succeed him. Dokubo faulted IPOB for saying he was behind the reported extradition of its leader from Kenya. Kanu and Dokubo have been at loggerheads over the quest for Biafra — the very cause that unites them. The cold war between them resulted in the formation of the Biafra Customary Government (BCG) which Dokubo announced in March 2020 with himself as the head.  White-collar jobs no longer available; youths should return to farm: Chris Ngige; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has said that Nigerian youth should start farming maize, cassava, yam and other farm produce as white-collar jobs were no longer available. ”The time is also gone when we all queue up for white-collar jobs. They are not available anymore,” Mr Ngige said in a statement on Sunday. The minister said this while warning beneficiaries of skills acquisition training and empowerment programmes of the federal government to desist from selling empowerment items.
