EVENTS:EBUBEAGU ANAOCHA BURIES DAD IN A GRAND STYLE....

 

Late chief  Simon Ezekwe,the clan chief of Nnukwu clan in Adazi-Nnukwu Anaocha LGA,Anambra state buried in a grand style;

It is a custom in Igbo land to give the dead a befitting burial.But when it comes to the funeral rites of titled men,the funeral rites take another dimension.Many rituals normally take place and the number of days is normally increased,this is  general with all the Igbos.In the case of Late Chief Simon Ezekwe,who was a member of the prestigious Ozo title society in Adazi-Nnukwu and also the chief of Nnukwu clan,his funeral rites took a rather much higher dimension as his son,Chief Emeka Ezekwe(Ebubeagu Anaocha)gave his dad a burial befitting of a high chief.

The funeral rites started with a christian wake keep at his compund on Monday,17th day of January 2022.After the holy mass which was celebrated by the parish priest of Christ The King Parish,Adazi-Nnukwu,there was a corollary of traditional rituals by the members of the prestigious Nze n Ozo titled men,and a plethora of activities.

The funeral rites continued the next day,Tuesday,18th January,2022.Even the IPOB sit-at home couldn't deter the good people of Adazi-Nnukwu to pay their last respect to one of the most celebrated chiefs they ever had.As usual,it took off with the traditional gun shoots by exactly 12 noon.Then the condolence visits by numerous friends and well wishers.

The funeral ceremony lasted for four days.Of course with many traditional dancing troupes displaying to pay their last homage to the late chief.The funeral ceremony was concluded on Thursday,20th January,2022 with all the membders of the prestigious Ozo titled men performing the last ritual and paying their last homage to their late member.
