2023 ELECTIONS:Tinubu visits IBB....

 The National Leader of APC and a one time governor of Lagos state who has already made his intentions clear on contesting for the president of Nigeria in the forthcoming general elections has continued with his presidential bid by meeting the the one time military president of Nigeria,Gen.Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida at his Uphill residence in Minna,Niger state.

The meeting also had Abubakar Sani Bello,the governor of Niger State in attendance.Tinubu also donated the sum of 50 million naira to the Internally Displaced Persons in Niger state.

Bola Tinubu spoke to the newsmen immediately after the meeting which lasted for about one hour,that he visited the rtired General because of his presidential bid.He went further to state that he his making a wide consultation as he his seriously vying for the presidency.He concluded by saying that he cannot visit Niger state without paying homage to IBB.

Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Adjourned 19 January, 2022 The trial of the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu stalled on Tuesday after he objected to the fresh charges brought against him by the Federal Government. The Federal Government had filed fresh terrorism charges against the detained leader of the proscribed IPOB leader before the Federal High Court on Monday. Consequently, the initial seven counts bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism, against him, increased to 15.   Some students of St Anthony’s Catholic Comprehensive Institute wrote their names on the history book as they emerged victorious in the just concluded Awka Dioceasan quiz competition sponsored by the catholic bishop of the diocese, Most Rev PC Ezeokafor.  The mangager Rev.Fr. Val Ezenduka with the participants. The competition started at the region level. All the catholic secondary schools in Awka Catholic Diocese participated at their various level.  St Anthony’s Institute was not left out, as some of the students represented the school at Adazi region. They emerged the winner at that level which qualified them to partake at the diocesan level.  The diocesan level took place at St John of God catholic secondary school, Awka on the 1st of February, 2022. BREAKING NEWS:I Don’t Want To See Nnamdi Kanu In These Clothes Again – Judge Orders DSS

  Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has given an order to the Department of State Services (DSS) to allow Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to change his clothes; Previously, Nyako had directed the DSS to allow the IPOB leader to have his bath whenever he wanted to, change his clothes, eat properly and practise his faith. However, at the court session on Tuesday, the newly introduced Kanu's lead counsel, Mike Ozekhome, complained that his client was still being subjected to poor treatment in DSS custody. He said Kanu was still being kept in solitary confinement and that any other detainee who greeted him was also kept in solitary confinement. Shortly before adjourning the matter, Nyako reminded the defendant that a detention facility was not a five-star hotel.
