 Popular show host and broadcaster, Frank Edoho, has been announced as the host of the television game show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire. The announcement was made at an event at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, to tell journalists and members of the public about the return of the popular show which went off the air in 2017. The ultimate prize to be won on the show is now N20m, and it would be broadcast for 52 weeks Tagged ‘The Rebirth’, another addition to the show will see contestants able to use a ‘lifeline’ of ‘asking the host’ whenever they get stuck. Other lifelines on the show are ’50-50’, ‘Call a Friend’, and ‘Ask the Audience’. Frank Edoho had hosted the show from its inception on October, 8, 2004, until September 2, 2017.  Killing people for rituals won’t make you rich overnight, Ben Bruce tells youths Ben Murray-Bruce, a former Nigerian senator, has lamented the increasing trend of ritual killings among young people. In a tweet, the former senator said young people who are supposed to be the “leaders of tomorrow now engage in unimaginable crimes just to become millionaires overnight”. “What has suddenly gone wrong with young people who now believe that rituals involving human blood will make them rich?” he asked. “So many Nigerians go missing daily, and while many are never found.  ASUU Begins Preparation For Strike, Declares Monday Lecture-free; The Academic Staff Union of Universities has urged its chapters across the country to sensitise members of the public on the situation between the union and the Federal Government. This is as it declared Monday, February 7, 2022, as a lecture-free day in a bid to enhance the sensitisation. The National President of the Union, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, disclosed this in an interview on Saturday evening. The last national strike by ASUU was in March 2020 and it lasted till December 2020, when a Memorandum of Action was signed. However, a year after signing the MoA, ASUU accused the government of failing to fulfil its side of the bargain and threatened to mobilise for another strike immediately. The government quickly moved to pay N55bn as part-payment for the Earned Academic Allowance and Revitalisation Fund, but the union was unmoved until the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council and other dignitaries waded in.
